In this eighteenth century tale, a young noblewoman, Lady Panthea Vyne, is rescued on her wedding day from an unhappy life at the hands of her cruel husband-to-be, Drysdale. Lady Vyne's not-so-white knight in shining armor is a dashing highwayman and former aristocrat now known as the Silver Blade. The lady and the highwayman have only the love of each other, but in a heart-wrenching twist of fate, it looks as though the lovers will be forever torn apart.
